Northwestern football recruiting: Top quarterback target Kasim Hill among several 2017 prospects visiting this weekend

Four-star quarterback Kasim Hill is set to visit Northwestern this weekend, according to 247 Sports.

The Baltimore product is the Wildcats' top target at quarterback after Jack Coan's recent commitment to Wisconsin. He is the only uncommitted QB prospect in the class of 2017 with an offer from Northwestern.

Hill also holds offers from other Big Ten rivals, including Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, Nebraska, and Rutgers. His non-Big Ten offers include Utah, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Boston College and North Carolina.

Hill visited Michigan State Thursday, and will also visit Vanderbilt this weekend. He also recently visited Maryland. Northwestern cancelled its open practice on Saturday, but will still hold practice indoors.

Pat Fitzgerald has made it a goal to get one quarterback in each class and Hill would be a big addition to what will likely be Fitzgerald's best recruiting class ever.

An interesting note is that Hill attends The Gilman School, the same school as Northwestern defensive back Alonzo Mayo and wide receiver Jelani Roberts, but will transfer to St. John's College High School (Washington, DC) for his senior year.

Hill's highlights are below:

In addition to Hill's visit, Northwestern will be hosting a bevy of other 2017 targets, per Steve Wiltfong of 247 Sports. Here is a complete list of the other prospects who will be visiting this weekend:

RB Lamont Atkins
OT Ethan Wiederkehr
QB Jack Sears
