Northwestern's Dance Marathon, a charity event where Northwestern students raise money — this year the primary beneficiary was Blessings in a Backpack — and then dance for 30 hours straight, is nearing the home stretch. It began Friday evening, and ends Sunday morning a bit after midnight. You can donate here: http://www.nudm.org/.
Saturday afternoon, Pat Fitzgerald addressed the dancers, and then turned it over to his players to take the stage. A Northwestern student sent Inside NU the following videos of Northwestern players dancing.
First up, we've got Auston Anderson:
Next up is James Prather:
And then up steps QB1, Clayton Thorson:
And finally it's Solomon Vault:
With those performances, and the ones defensive backs coach Jerry Brown and safety-turned-wide-receiver Steven Reese displayed during the 2015 season, the Wildcats have proven they can bust a move.
Next year, though, it's Fitz's turn.
UPDATE:
Basketball players Alex Olah, Nathan Taphorn and Gavin Skelly made their way to the stage to cheer on the dancers:
