EVANSTON -- Northwestern looks to finish its regular season on a three-game winning streak for the first time in team history when Nebraska visits Welsh-Ryan Arena on Sunday. It's safe to say that despite being well out of contention for an NCAA Tournament at-large berth, there's a ton riding on this game for the Wildcats.
First, a win would ensure the program a bye into the second round of the Big Ten Tournament with the ninth seed. Second, a win over Nebraska would keep the team's NIT hopes alive. Third, Northwestern is honoring seniors Alex Olah and Tre Demps (along with graduate transfer Joey van Zegeren), two players who have been four-year contributors to the program. And lastly, Chris Collins could bring the Wildcats their first 20-win regular season in program history.
