First a poem:
Do I have to?
I mean seriously, there's nothing to talk about
I don't know, like I could do something about how everything sucks
Doesn't seem like a good read
Thanks for reading.
Or maybe not.
Let's get into it.
A quiet day in the world of the NMTC yesterday with just three teams in action. That doesn't mean I'm any less sad. This has been a crap year for the NMTC and I am fully convinced that no one is going to bust out of it. I guess we can talk about it. But forgive me for a tone of apathy. It's a coping mechanism.
Grambling State played Mississippi Valley State. MVSU is the 342nd best team according to KenPom. They were also favorites in this game according to KenPom. Grambling, the 5th worst team in America, got smacked 87-73 by MVSU. This is dumb. Why am I emotionally invested in this game?
Boy, what a matchup this was. Morgan State, 9-21. Maryland-Eastern Shore, 10-22. I mean, what else can you possibly ask for? An NMTC team choking a lead away and getting bounced from their tournament in the 1st round? WELL LUCKY FOR YOU! Maryland-Eastern Shore saw a 4-point halftime lead evaporate into a 65-58 loss. Oh boy. This is so much damn fun.
OH SNAP Y'ALL WE GOT OURSELVES A WIN. YOU GO NORTH DAKOTA. LET'S GO FIGHTING HAWKS YEEEEEEEEEAH. Quinton Hooker poured in 26 second-half points to lift North Dakota to a victory, the only one that the NMTC got today. We are all Fighting Hawks.
Wednesday's Never Made The Tourney Club Action
There are no games involving teams that have never made the tournament tomorrow.
A certain plucky 9-seed is playing in the Patriot League championship tomorrow.
Holy Cross. Lehigh. KenPom is giving the Crusaders just a 15 percent chance of winning.
That is a mistake.
I for one intend to watch Bill Carmody punch his ticket to the dance, and I will be rooting for him in a big way. If you choose to not root for Bill Carmody, or worse, root against Bill Carmody, you can come and catch these hands whenever you want.
I don't have anything else to write.
Thanks for spending your time reading this.
