Per Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune, Lou's grandson Tino Malnati, a 6-foot-3 point guard, will be joining the Northwestern basketball team this upcoming season as a walk-on.

Last year,ย Charlie Hall, the son of Louis-Dreyfus and Brad Hall, joined the Wildcats as a walk-on. He saw action in eight games as a freshman.
Tino is a pass-first point guard from New Trier High School who had Division II and Division III offers, according to the article. His father, Rick, coached at New Trier from 1999-2008. Tino's known for having theย "coach's kid" basketball IQ as well.
