Northwestern men's basketball director of player development, Ryan Humphrey, has been hired by Notre Dame as an assistant coach, according to various media reports.
Ryan Humphrey indeed expected to be one of Mike Brey's assistant hires at #NotreDame, source told SI. Ex-Irish star was at Northwestern.

Humphrey, who played for both Oklahoma and Notre Dame and was a first round pick of the Utah Jazz in the 2002 NBA Draft, was hired by Chris Collins in 2014 to replace former NBA player Chris Quinn. The Oklahoma native was traded to the Magic shortly after being drafted and played for Orlando and the Memphis Grizzlies in his short NBA career. Then, he went overseas, playing for 13 different international teams before entering the coaching ranks.
Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey reportedly had Humphrey on his short list of candidates to fill out his staff. Humphrey, who was a captain during his time in South Bend, was a teammate of current CBS and 120 Sports analyst Jordan Cornette.
My captain a decade ago, a close friend to this day, Ryan Humphrey has been hired by Notre Dame basketball as an assistant coach. #Irish
