Jeff Goodman broke the news on Monday morning that Canyon Barry, the College of Charleston transfer and Northwestern target, will be going to the University of Florida for his final season of eligibility.
Charleston grad transfer Canyon Barry told ESPN he will head to Florida. HUGE get for the Gators.

Barry, a 6-6 wing who played just 13 games last season at Charleston, averaged almost 20 points per game, albeit on 16 field goal attempts per contest. The son of NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry, Canyon also shoots his free throws underhand like his father did.
Barry had previously mentioned that he was looking to pursue a master's degree in nuclear engineering, an academic track that is available at Florida but unavailable at Northwestern and Miami, the third school he was considering.
Northwestern was previously cut from contention for Illinois Mr. Basketball Charlie Moore. Northwestern does not have any open scholarships at this time.
