Bowling Green went 10-4 last season and has been a quality Group of Five team for several years. The Falcons have won two of the last three MAC Championships, but their success led to Syracuse hiring away head coach Dino Babers. They should still be a quality non-conference opponent under new coach Mike Jinks
With the addition of these two non-conference matchups, the Wildcats' 2017 schedule is now finalized, with seven games taking place at Ryan Field, four road games and the regular season finale taking place at Soldier Field against Illinois. Here's what the complete schedule will look like:
September 2 – vs Nevada
September 9 – at Duke
September 16 – vs Bowling Green
September 30 – at Wisconsin
October 7 – vs Penn State
October 14 – at Maryland
October 21 – vs Iowa
October 28 – vs Michigan State
November 4 – at Nebraska
November 11 – vs Purdue
November 18 – vs Minnesota
November 25 – vs Illinois (at Soldier Field)
