Goodwin is the No. 48 overall player and No. 2 in Illinois in 247Sports' class-of-2017 composite rank. The Althoff Catholic product will decide between Northwestern, Saint Louis, Butler, Alabama, Creighton, Missouri, and of course Illinois. Goodwin left off a number of big name schools such as Iowa, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Purdue in favor of those who have heavily recruited him. Expect Northwestern to continue to go all-in on Goodwin.
