RECAP: The week that was August 8-14

‘Twas another jam-packed week in Northwestern sports. Here’s a refresher on what went down.

Football is coming

  • Anthony Walker was selected by his teammates to wear the coveted No. 1 jersey for the upcoming season.
  • With Northwestern beginning its annual camp in Kenosha, Wisconsin this week, we began our Countdown to Kenosha series, where we’ll answer 10 burning questions facing the ’Cats entering the 2016 season.
  • Bovada gave Northwestern 500-to-1 odds to win the College Football Playoff. My analysis:
  • Northwestern made a few uniform tweaks for 2016.

  • Sure, Northwestern has an Olympian, but Touchdown Trev stole the spotlight this week. He was named the Broncos’ co-starting QB on Monday and then put on an absolutely dazzling passing display in Denver’s 22-0 rout of Chicago in the Broncos’ preseason opener on Thursday.
