TREVOR SIEMIAN IS A STARTING NFL QUARTERBACK.
Ok, he’s been named one for the Denver Broncos second preseason game, Saturday against the San Francisco 49ers, per Denver head coach Gary Kubiak. James Palmer was the first to report it.
Gary Kubiak said Trevor Siemian will start Saturday vs the 49ers.

Goal is for Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian to play about a quarter and a half a piece. Both hopefully will play with the ones

Siemian played in the second quarter of the Broncos’ opening preseason game against the Bears after Mark Sanchez took the reigns for the first quarter. The Northwestern product played really solidly in his return to the Chicago area. Rookie first-rounder Paxton Lynch, who is not believed to be part of the starting competition, played the entire second half.
Siemian has been impressive in practice, and it seems logical for the Broncos to give him a chance against first-teamers after Sanchez got the first go last week.
This is the biggest game of Siemian’s short pro career, and it wouldn’t come as a shock if the quarterback competition hinges heavily on this performance, as it will put Siemian and Sanchez on a somewhat level playing field as to how they look with and against the starters in game action.
GET PUMPED FOR TOUCHDOWN TREVOR.
