Trevor Siemian has been announced as the starter for the Broncos’ third preseason game, head coach Gary Kubiak announced.
#Broncos QB Trevor Siemian will start the third preseason game, coach Gary Kubiak told reporters. A very good sign for him for this season

The third preseason game is typically where the starters get their most significant action, and Siemian being named the guy against the Rams is extremely encouraging. Siemian struggled in the latter half of his second preseason game after two strong drives, but played well in the first and obviously has shown the coaching staff enough for them to give him an advantage over Mark Sanchez and Paxton Lynch.
This is a huge opportunity—again—for the former Northwestern Wildcat to separate himself from the pack, and it shows that he has the inside track to be the starter come Week 1.
May take a while to process the fact that "Trevor Siemian replaces Peyton Manning" is a real thing that could happen.

The former Wildcat signal caller was drafted in the seventh round in 2015 and beat out Zac Dysert for a roster spot. He was the only holdover after the Super Bowl after Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler went to the Houston Texans.
