Anthony Walker voted to USA TODAY’s All-American first-team

The accolades keep rolling in for Anthony Walker, and this might be the biggest one yet. He’s been voted a preseason first-team All-American by USA Today.

Walker was named a third-team All-American last year by the Associated Press and second-teamer by Sports Illustrated and a first-team All-Big Ten performer.

It’s been a big offseason for Walker, who not only got his own brand and nickname, “The Franchise,” but also was chosen to wear the No. 1 jersey. Jeff Budzein (2013) was the most recent first team All-American from Northwestern.
