When Berkeley Holman committed to Northwestern’s class of 2017 back in June, it was immediately apparent that the Wildcats had picked up a guy who can absolutely fly. A standout both on the field and on the track, Holman picked Northwestern over Pac 12 schools Utah and Oregon State and a bevy of non-Power Five schools.
Holman plays at Don Bosco Prep, a national powerhouse in California. On Friday, he and his teammates were on national TV (ESPNU) against St. Xavier as part of the 2016 GEICO ESPN High School Football Kickoff. Holman did not disappoint. The high school senior scored two touchdowns, the first a 69-yarder.

For good measure, he added a 53-yarder after halftime as his team cruised to a 34-0 win.

Not a bad time to step into the spotlight. With more performances like this, Holman could be doing it in purple and white as early as next year.
