Northwestern vs. Nebraska GameThread

It's the Big Ten opener for both teams, as Northwestern looks to improve to 2-2.

For the second week in a row, Northwestern hits Ryan Field under the lights. After a win last week against Duke, it's time for the Wildcats' Big Ten opener against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, coming in at 3-0 fresh off a 35-32 win over Oregon.

Last week's 24-13 win over Duke saw momentum build in Evanston. Clayton Thorson threw for a career-high 320 yards and three touchdowns while Austin Carr caught six passes for 135 yards and a touchdown. But at the same time, Thorson was 18-for-39 passing with two interceptions and five sacks, as Northwestern's offensive line struggles continued.

A year ago, Northwestern beat Nebraska, 30-28, in Lincoln in another career day for Thorson. He ran for 126 yards and a touchdown, leading the Wildcats to a win. Today, the focus will be on Northwestern's often-sputtering offense to keep up with Tommy Armstrong Jr. and Nebraska's high-powered offensive attack. With Anthony Walker Jr. continuing to regain his health, he'll be tasked with containing the elusive dual-threat Armstrong.

Here's how to watch this Big Ten opener. Follow along in the GameThread below and add your thoughts.
