The Northwestern men’s basketball team will play all of its 2017-18 home games at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, the program announced Tuesday morning.

Back in June, Northwestern announced that Welsh-Ryan Arena would be undergoing a $110 Million renovation to be completed in time for the 2018-19 season.

Several locations were discussed as options for a temporary home, but the program settled on Allstate Arena.

“We are excited to partner with Allstate Arena to host Northwestern men’s basketball games during the 2017-18 season while Welsh-Ryan Arena is undergoing its renovation,” Northwestern Vice President for Athletics and Recreation Jim Phillips said in the official statement. “The venue has a rich college basketball tradition in the Chicagoland area. I know that our fans will enjoy cheering on our team at Allstate Arena during what will be an exciting season.”

Allstate Arena is a multi-purpose arena that is currently home to the DePaul men’s basketball team, the Chicago Sky of the WNBA and the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League. It seats over 18,000 for basketball—more than doubling the capacity of Welsh-Ryan—and held the NCAA tournament Midwest Regional in 2005.

The arena is located near the Chicago O’Hare International Airport, approximately 15 miles from Welsh-Ryan.
