Northwestern vs. Iowa Gamethread

The Wildcats are on the hunt for their first Big Ten home win of the season.

A day after Welsh-Ryan Arena hosted an extremely emotional win for the Northwestern women's basketball team, the men's team (14-4 overall, 3-2 Big Ten) is back at it in Evanston for a Sunday night showdown against the Iowa Hawkeyes (11-7, 3-2).

Northwestern last played on Thursday night in Piscataway against Rutgers, squeaking by the Scarlet Knights 69-60 in a game the Wildcats trailed by three at halftime. Offense was hard to come by in the first 20 minutes for Northwestern, as they managed just 25 points by the break.

But, despite continued miserable three-point shooting, Chris Collins' team shot 51 percent from the field in the second half and was able to pull away late. The key? Free throw shooting, as the Wildcats went 13-for-14 from the charity stripe after the intermission.

They'll look to keep the good times rolling against an Iowa team that just upset Purdue in Iowa City. Check out our How to Watch for tonight's matchup and follow along below in the comments.
