Northwestern vs. Nebraska GameThread

The Wildcats are looking for a season sweep of the Cornhuskers.

Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

Northwestern takes a four-game win streak into tonight's matchup with Nebraska, a team headed in the opposite direction.

The Wildcats (16-4, 5-2 Big Ten) began their streak with a 74-66 victory over the Cornhuskers (9-10, 3-4) back on Jan. 8. Nebraska was 3-0 in conference play heading into that game but hasn't won since.

Still, Northwestern can't afford to look ahead to Indiana and take Tim Miles's team lightly. The Huskers have been within single digits in each of those Big Ten losses, including back-to-back 1-point losses. Tai Webster and Glynn Watson Jr. form one of the conference's more dangerous backcourt tandems, combining for nearly 33 points per game.

Nebraska will be without starting forward Ed Morrow for the third straight game.

If Northwestern can beat the Huskers for the second time this month, it will have its first 5-game Big Ten winning streak since February 1966.
