Northwestern has released its weekly injury report, and Trae Williams was the only player listed.
The sophomore cornerback has been ruled out, meaning Northwestern will have a testy situation at defensive back Saturday in College Park. Williams was listed as a starter on the two-deep earlier this week, but it now appears that either Kyle Queiro — who has slotted down from his usual safety spot to play outside corner at times this year — or Marcus McShepard will step into the starting role alongside Montre Hartage.
One thing to note is that Nathan Fox, who has missed the last two games, was not listed on the injury report. With Paddy Fisher suspended for the first half of Saturday's game because of a second-half targeting penalty last week against Penn State, Fox should step into the MIKE linebacker role, at least for the first half; Fox was listed as the starter there on the two-deep.
