Northwestern Football Recruiting: Four-star DE Devin O’Rourke signs with Northwestern

O’Rourke is an Illinois high school star and a great prospect.

The Northwestern Wildcats officially landed the crown jewel of their recruiting class as four-star defensive end Devin O’Rourke signed his LOI at the start of the December Early Signing Period. O’Rourke is the second-highest rated player in the state of Illinois and a huge get for the Wildcats.

O’Rourke stands 6-foot-6 and weighs in at 241 pounds. His highlights are certainly impressive .

With O’Rourke joining Earnest Brown IV, Trevor Kent, and the Miller Brothers, Northwestern is clearly stocking its defensive line talent for years to come. Also, getting the second-best recruit in Illinois is, as they say, good for the brand.

O’Rourke committed over a plethora of impressive offers, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin. Assistant coaches Adam Cushing and Marty Long led his recruitment.
