The Northwestern Wildcats officially landed the crown jewel of their recruiting class as four-star defensive end Devin O’Rourke signed his LOI at the start of the December Early Signing Period. O’Rourke is the second-highest rated player in the state of Illinois and a huge get for the Wildcats.

With O’Rourke joining Earnest Brown IV, Trevor Kent, and the Miller Brothers, Northwestern is clearly stocking its defensive line talent for years to come. Also, getting the second-best recruit in Illinois is, as they say, good for the brand.
O’Rourke committed over a plethora of impressive offers, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin. Assistant coaches Adam Cushing and Marty Long led his recruitment.
