Pat Fitzgerald didn't have to look too far to find a superback in this year's recruiting class; Brain Kaiser, a superback out of Winnetka, Illinois, has signed his letter of intent to play at Northwestern.
We keep adding #HOMEGROWN talent. @briankaiser0110 grew up a Wildcat and is now officially part of the #B1GCats family. #NUView18 pic.twitter.com/YOd1IvbaY7

Aside from Northwestern, Kaiser held offers from Duke, Vanderbilt and Iowa State.
At 6-foot-7 and 210 pounds, Kaiser has great size for the position, and should be able to develop into a good target at the position during his time in Evanston.
It doesn't get more #HOMEGROWN than Wilmette, Ill., native Brian Kaiser, our new 6-7 superback for the #B1GCats! Welcome, @briankaiser0110! pic.twitter.com/hZQAORhkM2

The superback is always an important position in Mick McCall's offense, even if it gets used mostly as a blocker for stretches. With Cam Green coming back next season, Kaiser should have the opportunity to learn under him.
