Northwestern added another linebacker to its already talented group when Khalid Jones signed with the Wildcats on the first day of the Early Signing Period.

Jones was also recently named the MVP of the SC/NC Shrine Bowl last weekend. He’s a dynamic playmaker and should be a great fit with the Northwestern linebacking corps that will need to replace Nate Hall, Brett Walsh, and others over the coming years.
Jones hails from Duncan, South Carolina and was one of Northwestern’s top remaining targets in the 2018 class. He committed to NU over Ole Miss, Tennessee, Wisconsin, among others. He is listed as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Scout.com and Rivals, but a four-star recruit by ESPN. Regardless of the rankings, Jones is a big get for the Northwestern Wildcats.
