The in-state recruits just keep on coming. Three-star superback Charlie Mangieri officially signed with the Northwestern Wildcats in the beginning of the Early Signing Period, one of 16 future Wildcats to do so.

Here are some of his highlights:
A Peoria, Ill., superback stays in Illinois, and we could not be more excited. Welcome to the family, @CharlieMangieri! #B1GCats #NSD18 pic.twitter.com/HsYTK70VI6

Mangieri is from Dunlap, Illinois, where he played tight end and running back. At 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, his build and skillset should be a great fit for Northwestern’s unique superback position. Continuing with the team of familial connections in this class, his uncles, Ed and Dan Sutter, played linebacker for the Wildcats. It really is a family out here.
