Guys. Football is here. Well, technically it’s five months away, but this kinda counts.
That was the most fun March in Northwestern athletics history, which subsequently caused it to fly by. It’s April now, and it’s time to start turning our attention to football, starting right now.
Today, the first major light is shined on Pat Fitzgerald’s 12th team, as the Wildcats hit Hutcheson Field for a televised open practice.
Northwestern, as has been the case for the past few years, does not play a traditional spring game like many of its Big Ten counterparts. Still, this practice should offer plenty in terms of entertainment and insight.
Yesterday, we outline five things to keep an eye on as you watch the practice on TV or in person, including some of the Wildcats’ most critical position groups entering the season: receivers, linebackers, and the offensive line.
