Kopp, who hails from Houston, TX, has burst onto the scene this spring with his play for the Houston Defenders on the Under Armour Association AAU circuit.
This past weekend, Kopp scored 13, 26 and 24 points in three games against strong competition.
Kopp is a 6-foot-6 guard/wing with good athleticism and a deadly jumper who also has the muscle to finish at the rim, as you can see in this short highlight tape.

Kopp isn’t currently ranked by any recruiting services, although that seems likely to change. His only offers heading into the AAU season were from the likes of Rice, Youngstown State and Murray State, but Kopp picked up an offer from Gregg Marshall and Wichita State yesterday in addition to the Northwestern offer and has received interest from Vanderbilt.
In all likelihood, Kopp’s recruitment is only beginning. His game is actually somewhat similar to current top 2018 target Cormac Ryan, but still sitting on just one 2017 commit, it’s clear Collins is going all in on the 2018 class.
