Will The Pass win an award?

NCAA Basketball: Michigan at Northwestern David Banks-USA TODAY Sports

The 'Cats are getting the red carpet treatment.

If you're reading this, you know why. Nathan Taphorn made The Pass, Dererk Pardon finished it, and students and players alike tumbled onto the floor at Welsh-Ryan Arena to celebrate a win that all but clinched a first-ever NCAA Tournament berth for the program.

It was the best play in program history, and now it'll compete against the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Julian Edelman and a shot by Morgan William that stunned UConn Women's Basketball for the billing of the year's best play.

Bryant McIntosh, Scottie Lindsey, Vic Law, and, of course, Nathan Taphorn and Dererk Pardon — the five players on the court for The Pass — will attend the event at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The crew that helped Northwestern end its 78-year Tournament drought will get to rub elbows with the biggest celebrities in the sports world, and may even get to share the stage with host Peyton Manning, if The Pass bests the other three semi-finalist in voting.
