It has been an important offseason for quarterback Clayton Thorson.

The redshirt junior and two-year starter attended the Manning Passing Academy after Archie Manning called him to extend an invitation. He’s seen his NFL stock rise in Mel Kiper’s latest rankings, and Rivals recently dubbed him the best quarterback in the Big Ten.

However, the highlight of Thorson’s busy summer came this past weekend when Thorson got engaged.

Huge congratulations to Clayton and his fiancé Audrey on their engagement! A previous Instagram post stated that the pair have been dating since 2011.

Just a few weeks ago Thorson attended the wedding of his No. 1 target last year, Big Ten Receiver of the Year Austin Carr. With practice and Camp Kenosha coming up in the next couple of weeks, Thorson’s summer is about to get even busier.

The preseason accolades have been coming in for the Wheaton, Illinois native. Thorson was placed on the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and Maxwell Award watch lists, and proceeded to represent Northwestern at his first career Big Ten Media Day. The veteran signal caller was featured in Northwestern’s #Homegrown video series along with backfield counterpart Justin Jackson.

Now, he has even more to celebrate. Go ‘Cats!
