Northwestern’s first football game is just 17 days away. It’s almost time to get excited. It’s also a good time to start making predictions for the 2017 season. Inside NU will put together its annual prognostications later this month, but we’re throwing the question out to the masses. What will Northwestern’s regular season record be in 2017?

I think Northwestern will finish 8-4 in 2017, mostly because I can’t discount Northwestern’s ability to lose games in a very unsatisfying manner. The Wildcats should maybe finish 10-2 or 9-3, but that’s a big ask, even though Northwestern has a lot of experience returning on offense and defense.
