Northwestern sports are in a rut right now. Northwestern football lost to Duke in humiliating fashion. The women’s soccer team just lost 1-0 at Pepperdine, and the men’s soccer team is on a four-game losing streak. However, we can’t let that distract us, at least on Monday night, from the fact that Northwestern has an NFL starting quarterback!
Yes, that’s right, Trevor Siemian is back and (hopefully) better than ever. He starts off his 2017-18 campaign against the Los Angeles Chargers on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Primetime Trevor calls for an Inside NU gamethread. Roll damn Broncos, at least for today.
This is the annual “second half of the Monday Night Football opening week doubleheader” game. These games usually get spooky. The game starts at 9:20 central time, so I hope you don’t have obligations tomorrow morning. You can watch the game on WatchESPN, but the app and website are terrible, so I’m not linking to them.
Get to your TV. Let’s do this.
Oh, and bring the Chargers back to San Diego.
