As of now, Northwestern is also set to play Central Michigan on 9/12.

No, there are no typos. Northwestern is set for an opening week home-and-home against Michigan State in 2020 and 2021. Michigan State appears to be Northwestern’s favorite Big Ten East opponent, as 2021’s game will mark the sixth consecutive season that both teams will play each other. By then, it’ll almost be a rivalry game.

Interestingly, Northwestern does not get Ohio State at all in these two seasons. Northwestern will host Maryland and Rutgers for the first time, in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Exciting stuff! Really!
