Are you ready for some Northwestern football?
The 2017 season is finally here as the Wildcats are set to take on the Nevada Wolf Pack at 2:30 CT. Northwestern will be looking to avoid a repeat of last season, when they dropped the opener at home to Western Michigan. Nevada went 5-7 and finished 124th in S&P+ in 2016 though, so they’re no WMU. This will be the Wolf Pack’s first game under new head coach Jay Norvell and his air raid offense.
Nevada will start returning quarterback Ty Gangi over Alabama transfer David Cornwell, although both could apparently see the field. Northwestern will be without CB Keith Watkins II and WR Charlie Fessler.

Oh, and watch the entrance video again. Seriously, do it.
And as always, discuss the game in the comments below. Be kind and civil, and try not to yell about firing McCall if the first offensive possession doesn’t end in a touchdown.
LETS. GO. CATS.
