Northwestern managed to take care of business against Nevada and Bowling Green, but got blown out by Duke in non-conference play. With the Big Ten starting conference games this week, we thought it would be a good time to reassess our expectations for this season.
Thus, we have a poll! Vote on what you think Northwestern’s B1G record will be in 2017. Can Northwestern go 6-3 or even 7-2? Will the Wildcats fade in the early part of the season and go 3-6 or 4-5? Teams like Purdue and Maryland look much improved from last season, and there’s a case to be made that the Big Ten is the deepest conference in college football this year.
Here’s a look at the schedule, as a reminder:
9/30 - @ Wisconsin
10/7 - Penn State
10/14 - @Maryland
10/21 - Iowa
10/28 - Michigan State
11/4 - @ Nebraska
11/11 - Purdue
11/18 - Minnesota
11/25 @ Illinois
Northwestern gets five home games this year, which should be a bonus.
