Isaiah Bowser had an off day last week.
The 6’1”, 200-pound running back rushed for his lowest total of the season in Sidney High School’s win over West Carrollton, tallying just 205 yards on the ground. Bowser did add 104 receiving yards and three total touchdowns, so the performance wasn’t all for naught. But when compared to his combined 625 yards and six touchdowns in his second and third games and his 413 yard, six touchdown performance two weeks ago against Xenia (plus a halfback pass for another touchdown), it does seem a little lacking.
The three-star back, who, according to Louie Vaccher of Wildcat Report, took an unofficial visit after his game last week to watch Northwestern shellack Bowling Green, has created some truly eye-popping stats in his senior season. He’s averaging 290 rushing yards and about four total touchdowns per game while picking up 9.4 yards per touch.
Bowser’s insane production, however, comes with a slight caveat: the last three teams he’s faced are a combined 2-10 against teams other than Sidney. The good news is that his production was still strong against the first two teams (though a bit less efficient), both of whom are ranked by MaxPreps in the top 100 for the state of Ohio.
His senior season highlight video, already nearly 5 minutes long, can be found below:

It'll be fun to see Bowser wearing purple.
