Hall and Newsome II were both injured against Michigan and sat out last week against Michigan State. Fox has appeared in three games for NU this year, primarily on special teams. He’s listed as Paddy Fisher’s backup at the MIKE linebacker spot, though Fisher never really comes off the field.
Kuhbander has been playing through a torn muscle in his kicking leg. He was 13-of-16 on field goal attempts last season, but he’s only 2-of-5 in 2018, including a miss from 34 yards in East Lansing. Drew Luckenbaugh, who has been handling kickoff duties, will become NU’s place kicker.
Trey Pugh, who was listed as out last week, was omitted from this week’s injury report, indicating he will be NU’s backup superback on Saturday.
