Porter attends La Salle High School, the same school that produced ex-Northwestern running back Jeremy Larkin, as well as standout defensive tackle Jordan Thompson. He is regarded as the 37th best running back in the class of 2020 by 247Sports and has offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Purdue, and Minnesota, among others.
Here are some of Porter’s sophomore year highlights, in which he was the Greater Catholic League running back of the year and rushed for over 900 yards.
Northwestern does not currently have a running back commit in the class of 2019, so this represents an important pick up for Pat Fitzgerald and his staff.
