Four-star 2019 running back Jirehl Brock released his top five Tuesday, and Northwestern made the cut.
I’m thankful for the opportunities I have. Please respect my top 5. I’m doing what’s best for my family and I.

The other schools in Brock’s top five are Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota and Purdue.
Brock, a Quincy, Illinois native, is the third-ranked player in Illinois, per 247Sports. He’s the 207th-best player in the country per 247, and the 185th-best on Rivals.
Getting Brock would be a major recruiting coup for the Wildcats. With Justin Jackson gone, Brock could join the legacy of strong backs at NU that looks like it will continue with Jeremy Larkin. Northwestern was on the later side in terms of offering Brock, which could hurt. Many experts have Iowa as the favorite to land Brock.
