Olges grew up 10 minutes from Evanston and has been going to games since he was young. He actually committed during his visit last weekend, but didn’t make it public until now.
As predicted, 3-star DT @duke_olges committed to the #B1GCats today. Here's my exclusive story on his commitment -- which actually came during his visit on Sunday. https://t.co/usdXRLGM3S

Olges held some pretty impressive offers. He had offers from Wisconsin, Michigan State and Iowa, but recruiting experts were split between Northwestern and Vanderbilt as landing spots. Listed as a superback by 247, it appears he’ll play defensive tackle at Northwestern. At 6-foot-5 and 255 pounds, he has the frame to play on the defensive line, but he’ll have to bulk up a bit to play in the middle.
Here are his highlights:
Olges shows great gap awareness and strength in the running game with his hand in the ground, but also the ability to stand up and attack the line of scrimmage from the outside. This will be harder to do as he gets bigger, but his baseline quickness is there, which is important for a defensive tackle.
