Chris Collins is right there for a blue-chip talent.
Robbie Beran, a 6-foot-9 forward ranked No. 78 in the country by 247Sports and No. 46 in the country by the 247Sports composite, has included Northwestern in his final three, along with Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech.

Beran held offers from Louisville, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Tennessee, Wisconsin and Xavier before whittling his list down to three. His previous list, his top four, included Boston College. Florida and Kansas tried to recruit Beran late in the process, so that should tell you how sought-after he is.
Put simply, Beran would be a huge get for Northwestern. He’s a skilled big, and would give Collins two highly versatile frontcourt men in Beran and Pete Nance. With combo guard Daniel Buie already committed, Beran would slide in nicely to an increasingly position-less roster.
Beran reportedly plans to visit Northwestern this weekend.
