When I had oral surgery in mid-September, I used my recovery time to rewatch NU’s first three games with the intention of evaluation Clayton Thorson’s performance. It turned into a weekly tradition, and four months, 12 posts, and countless hours later, here’s the result.
I’m an amateur film analyst, and I’m not even sure what I learned from all of this, but the following articles describe some of the key schematic features of NU’s offense and how Mick McCall adapts to his personnel throughout a season.
