The season hasn’t started the way Pat Fitzgerald and co. would like, but Northwestern football’s 2020 recruiting class is continuing to fire on all cylinders.
With the addition of Nigel Williams, a one-time Wake Forest commit who also had offers from Virginia and UCLA, the Wildcats have their 17th recruit of the all-important class, bringing their total overall 247Sports Composite Ranking to 30th, and eighth in the Big Ten.

Williams, listed at 6’1”, 180 pounds, is the third cornerback commit of the class, joining Garnett Hollis and Jaheem Joseph. According to 247, the three-star Richmond native has been clocked at a 4.57 in a laser-timed 40-yard dash, along with a 4.00 shuttle run and a 37-inch vertical.
Interestingly enough, Williams also attended the same high school as top basketball recruit Robbie Beran (The Collegiate School of Richmond). His composite rating is .8376, meaning that every current member of the 2020 class remains at least at a rating of .8360. Peter Skoronski, who has improved to the fourth-ranked guard in the country per 247, and fellow four-star Aidan Atkinson still headline the class.
