Still need to figure out how to pronounce that last name.

It’s officially official.

A tweet from Pat Fitzgerald on Wednesday confirmed some news that broke this past weekend — former Boston College offensive coordinator/QB coach is headed to Evanston to replace Mick McCall.

The official program press release praises Bajakian for putting together a solid rushing attack (and great ball security!) in his lone year at BC, and lays out his track record of success at the helm of both collegiate and professional offenses. We still don’t know all the details about his philosophy and the personnel he’ll be working with at NU, but this feels like a very Pat Fitzgerald hire — for better or for worse.

Well, Northwestern’s first coordinator change since 2008 didn’t take too long. Bajakian is officially in before the winter workouts and signing period, and he’ll have all offseason to start rebuilding a Wildcat offense that is desperate for some fresh schemes and playcalling.

We’ll have plenty more film/personnel analysis in the coming weeks, but for now, we’ve already put a few pieces together about this Bajakian hire. Read on for more information:
