Richardson, who had offers from Boise State, Washington State and Nevada, does not have a 247Sports composite rating, but was rated as a three-star prospect by one analyst on the site. His commitment comes after NU has had a sudden change of plans recruiting its 2020 quarterback.
Originally, four-star QB Aidan Atkinson was set to be one of the main pieces of the recruiting class, but he was recently arrested on sexual assault charges and his signing was not announced by Northwestern yesterday, as expected.
Forced into making a sudden adjustment, Fitz and co. had to make a run at a quarterback to fill out the class, and this late in the ballgame, Richardson presents a solid get. You can take a look at the quarterback’s highlights here.
