The last basketball game Welsh-Ryan Arena hosts this decade is a huge one.
The Northwestern women (11-1, 1-0) will play host to No. 12 Maryland (9-2, 1-0) Tuesday afternoon, in what will be a great chance to pick up an upset win over one of Big Ten’s best. It will be the second ranked team the Wildcats have faced this season as they narrowly fell to No. 16 DePaul earlier in the season.
Joe McKeown’s team is coming off a blowout victory in Champaign to start Big Ten play, and the ‘Cats are starting to gain some national respect by receiving 7 votes in the most recent AP poll. The team’s 15th RPI ranking is the third best in the conference.
Also, if you need extra incentive, the ‘Cats will be rocking the Gothics for the first time ever.
Because for the first time, we're going
