For the fifth time in seven games, Northwestern (12-10, 3-8 B1G) hits the road for a conference matchup. The Wildcats will battle No. 20 Iowa (18-5, 7-5), winners of six of their past eight, on Sunday evening.
The Hawkeyes are coming off a tight win over Indiana on the road; before that, they spanked Michigan by 15 in Iowa City to hand the Wolverines their second loss of the season. Iowa boasts a top-10 offense per KenPom, averaging nearly 82 points per game.
Freshman Joe Wieskamp, who dropped 19 on Northwestern back in January, has scored in double digits in all seven of Iowa’s Big Ten victories. The Hawkeyes will also have the services of leading scorer Tyler Cook, who missed Iowa’s 10-point win at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
All in all, Northwestern will have its hands full in Iowa City, where it hasn’t won since 2012.
