Edwards, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 310 pounds, was offered by eight Big Ten teams. The three star recruit out of Groveport, Ohio, who was recruited as a guard, holds a 247 composite rating of .8466. He is the 56th-rated guard in the country. His junior year highlights can be found below (link for those on Apple News):
Edwards gives the Wildcats their sixth commit in the 2020 class, and their second from the state of Ohio after running back Cameron Porter. He is the first offensive lineman of the class.
Pat Fitzgerald and his staff still have offers out to nine non-committed tackles and two other guards, with the 2020 recruiting cycle beginning to kick into gear. It’s early, but as often happens for Northwestern, their early commits have the Wildcats’ 2020 recruiting class in the top 25 nationally as of now.
