The commitments kept rolling in on Saturday with Xander Mueller, who joined Terah Edwards and became the seventh member of Northwestern’s 2020 class.

Louisville was the only other high-major offer for the younger brother of current Wildcat linebacker Erik Mueller. But Xander, out of Wheaton North high school, was called “one of the biggest underestimated names in the class of 2020” by local recruiting publication edgytim.com, and it certainly looks as though the Wildcats got in on him early.
The Muellers will join duos such as Samdup and Alex Miller, Chris and Joe Bergin, and the Gallaghers (with Bryce on his way to the program in the fall) on the current squad, along with countless other pairs of brothers to play under Pat Fitzgerald.
Xander, listed as an outside linebacker, is the first linebacker of any kind to join Northwestern’s 2020 class. At a .8399 composite rating via 247Sports, he checks in at fifth among the current crop of future Wildcats. Here are his junior year highlights (link for those reading on Apple News):
After a productive Saturday, Pat Fitzgerald’s 2020 class continues to look impressive.
