Inside NU likes to consider ourselves one of the true voices of the Wildcat fanbase, whether through our writing, the comments section on each article, or the FanPosts available to all in our community.
Now, thanks to some help from the SBNation mothership, we will be participating in a new aspect of that fan interaction via a polling project pulls together the fan insights of our community. SBNation FanPulse allows fans to make their voices heard on a national level every week, answering a weekly survey (featuring a Top 25 ballot) that will have its results published right here on our site.
If you sign up (via THIS LINK), you will be among a vetted group from Inside NU to take part in the short surveys. These surveys will start going out regularly once the season begins, and will be highlighted by a weekly national Top 25 ranking determined by Wildcat fans. This is something that should take at most a few minutes a week to participate in.
We want to build the definitive Top 25 of informed college football fans, and that includes you. Your votes will be anonymous — though if you join, you are welcome (and encouraged!) to tell anyone you like about the way in which you voted and your participation in the project.
In addition to being published on Inside NU (and our attached social media platforms), the results of each week’s poll may wind up on the home site (SBNation.com) or those of rival schools.
This project was started on SB Nation’s NFL sites last season. Here’s an example of some of the results based on the confidence questions (which you’ll also get to answer!):
Participating in this survey will serve as your chance to represent Northwestern fans and their knowledge of the national scene while also potentially affecting the perception of the Wildcats, both in terms of the team and the fanbase. Again, the link to sign up can be found right here!
If you have any questions/concerns, please let us know in the comment section and we will do our best to help out.
