The second half of Big Ten media days is here. And with it, Fitz. Half of the 14 Big Ten coaches spoke at a press conference yesterday, and the other half will speak today. Mike Hall and J Leman will anchor the press conference coverage.
This media day is an opportunity for coaches to talk about injuries, playing time, position battles and any offseason developments they may have. With Fisher, Gaziano, and Thomas as his player representatives, Fitz will be expected to address some of the questions that have come up with the start of the 2019 season.
It is unlikely Fitz will make any concrete statement about Hunter Johnson and whether or not he will be starting at quarterback (check that off the Bingo board), but he may be forced to provide an update on how he is fitting in with the team, his progress, etc.
Other questions Fitz could face revolve around Trey Pugh’s health and the superback position as a whole, the lack of a true punter and the possibility of replicating last year’s success.
