An hour after the men’s team sent out their conference slate, the Wildcat women followed suit. Joe McKeown’s squad, who lost only center Pallas Kunaiyi-Akpanah from last year’s WNIT finalists, will try to follow up their 21-15 (9-9) output in the 2018-19 season with a trip to the NCAA Tournament.
They will do so against a solid group of opponents both in and out of conference play. Their Big Ten schedule features home-and-home splits with reigning Big Ten champions Maryland, recent conference bottom-feeders Illinois, historic Northwestern-killers Penn State, and typically above-average groups from Michigan and Michigan State.

The Wildcats will also play host to Rutgers, Nebraska, Purdue, and Iowa. They released their non-conference schedule, featuring marquee opponents in Marquette and DePaul along with a host of other solid programs, about a month ago:

Northwestern and their talented backcourt will begin their quest for a Tournament berth (and perhaps even more) in just over two months time.
