Brown got the start in today’s game with Isaiah Bowser sidelined, and was effective rushing for 79 yards on just 9 carries in the first half. According to Big Ten Network, the junior back injured his hand earlier in the game before returning. Late in the second quarter with NU driving, Brown appeared shaken up after taking a tough low hit on a 3rd down screen pass in the redzone.
Drake Anderson should see the bulk of the carries in the second half for Northwestern.
